I usually stay in Sukhumvit and my last visit to Patpong Bangkok was years ago. So this holiday returning from Cambodia, I booked an Airbnb close to Patpong just for memories.
I did not barfine any girl in the past, so if that is something you want maybe you want to skip this post. But nevertheless, I decided to report my observations because I have never written about Patpong before.
I was aware that a lot of changes have happened in Bangkok, but unfortunately, this is true for other monger places I know as well. So if you’re planning to go to Bangkok and you think that it has changed, it has changed in Patpong Bangkok too.
Glamour GoGo Bar Bangkok
The first stop of the evening was Glamour. It was a Saturday night at 8:15 pm and no customers were present inside. There was a nice lineup, but I felt no vibe, mainly because the girls only did a quick shuffle. They were not dancing with the energy I was expecting. I expect a lady to show some effort and interest before I would invite her for a lady drink. The Mojito they served was in a tom collins drink glass and that was the best action I got this night.
Black Pagoda GoGo Bar Patpong Bangkok
My next stop was Black Pagoda. I did not like the lineup since there were lots of tall ladies. Plus maybe with some transgenders thrown in. The smaller ones were lacking in the boobs department. One seemed to be OK body-wise but she did not have a friendly face. Maybe I am spoilt because of my past experiences. However, I did not let my penis control my head. Additionally, it was not very entertaining as there were lots of the ladies dancing at the windows facing the street instead of entertaining their customers inside.
Bada Bing GoGo Bar Bangkok
I walked towards Bada Bing in Patpong Bangkok at around 10 pm. Good lineup and energy on stage. When the second shift climbed the stage, I saw one lady being instructed how to move by her mamasan. We exchanged smiles and 10 seconds later she was snapped by a Korean who barfined her immediately. This was even before her lady drink was served. That’s real determination! When checking the bill bin I had to complain because the change was 100 Baht short.
King Castle 3 GoGo Bar Bangkok
King Castle III had plenty of eye candy, better than the other two (lineup there being smaller). But lack of energy and nobody sparked my interest.
Safari GoGo Bar Patpong Bangkok
Safari had no customers at all. I took a quick look at the menu and I left because the drinks are definitely more pricey than in the other places I checked out.
Club XXX GoGo Bar Patpong
Club XXX, probably formerly Electric Blue had a few customers. One lady was quite entertaining while on stage. After her turn, I invited her to sit with me. She was a little bit chubby but had a really nice rack. Another plus was that the ladies in uniform do not wear underwear. Nice touch, pun intended. She really wanted to be barfined. However, because of her lacking English skills and her liking for Tequila shots (she downed 2 in approx. 15 minutes), I decided to move on.
The Strip GoGo Bar Bangkok
I read somewhere tat the Strip closed because of a lack of business. I found it to be open when I was there. Although there were almost no customers the ladies did not show much interest in me and instead, they pointed out other ladies. When this happens I am usually a little bit annoyed. So I decided to invite the cute waitress for a lady drink. It turned out she started working in a bar 2 days ago.
You guessed it, shy and little English communication skills but she was sweet and Google translate was my friend. We did small talk only (no interview) she had put me in the innocent mood, especially because she told me, that she had to struggle to come to work this day and might quit work tomorrow.
Nevertheless, she seemed ready to leave with me, but being a nice guy (mostly) I thought she will regret this later and told her so. I thought it might be nice to talk a little bit longer outside and asked her if she is hungry. Yes, she was. No surprise, these ladies are almost always hungry. She did not know how much the barfine was and we ended up asking her colleague.
If you do not know, you will see the prices written on the menu. GoGo dancers 1000 Baht and for Staff 2000 Baht. I don’t think you can negotiate barfines. I will stay 1 more day only before taking my flight back home. Otherwise I might had asked for her line ID, to fix a meeting tomorrow. I’ve seen some of her pics on Our Twitter Page too.
Final Thoughts on the Bars at Patpong Bangkok
All over the world the mongering scene is changing ( for the worse) and Patpong is no exception. I liked The strip and Glamour, maybe I went there too early and later it is more thriving. The gay scene is increasing especially on Patpong Bangkok 2, so maybe you pay a visit before it’s really too late. I think for 1 or 2 nights Patpong has enough to offer. If you still want all the best action, then there’s nothing better than Nana Plaza Bangkok. There are a few great GoGo Bars in Soi Cowboy too that I would recommend.
