A bar fine is generally the price you have to pay to the bar for allowing one of their girls to skip their duty at the bar and go back to your hotel or condo with you. You should not that this is not the price of the girl for her time. That is separate. You should first negotiate with the girl for how much she will charge for LT or ST. Once you are happy with the deal, ask the mamasan of the bar how much for the bar fine and you should be good to go.

What is LT and ST?

LT, popularly known as Long Time is basically taking out a girl for the whole night and getting her breakfast in the morning. It means there are no limits on the number of times you can have fun with her. ST on the other hand is Short Time which typically lasts 1 hour and for just one round of fun. You can always try to negotiate. The prices for ST and LT depend on which kind of girl you are taking out. Bar girls have a higher price whereas freelancers can be taken out for cheaper.

As a general rule of thumb, the bar fine for LT is 1000 Baht and the girl should be around 2000 Baht. Whereas ST costs 300 Baht for the bar fine and up to 1000 Baht for the girl.

What is a Mamasan?

This is the older lady who works at the bar and is the girl’s boss. GoGo bars always have a mamasan to help customers find exactly what they are looking for. They cannot be bar fined and as far as I know, they don’t want to be. She’s like a mother to most of the girls that work in the bar. One look at her and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

When you are at Walking Street, you will find that most of the girls standing around are freelancers that want to meet men. You can approach these girls and get them for ST for 800 Baht and up to 1500 Baht for LT.

Nightclub Girls

These are the most expensive of the lot. They are model category women and therefore can ask for anything starting from 2000 Baht to 5000 Baht for LT. They usually do not go out for ST.

If you do not want to waste money and energy scouting for girls at bars, just head on over to a massage shop. The girls there will be happy to give you a happy ending for 800 Baht and can also do full service for 1500 Baht.
