There are plenty of Night Markets in Phuket and all of them are amazing. You can stroll down these shopping havens, get some great street food, and also try your luck at meeting women. These Phuket Night Markets are super happening zones. You’ll find all sorts of things to do and if you’re really lucky, you’ll be having the time of your life. Let’s take a look at some of the best Phuket Night Markets around.
Why Men Should Explore Phuket Night Markets?
The nightlife scene in Phuket is not as wild as it is in Pattaya but it can surely drain you out. The humidity is quite high too. If you are in the mood to avoid the crazy music playing in GoGo Bars, then go check out the Night Markets in Phuket. Grab a drink if you are famished and check out the local talent. There are plenty of young university girls that hang out here and want to meet new people. You won’t find them working girls here like how they hang out at GoGo Bars. These are mostly Sideline Thailand girls. But the girls here are locals and they just want to have a good time. They won’t be interested in your money either. Pick up a few Thai Phrases that you can learn and strike up a conversation. These college girls are generally educated and speak English too.
5 Cheap Phuket Night Markets for Men
I know that you don’t want to blow up a lot of cash here so I’m going to share with you the best and cheapest places I have found where you can grab yourself a good meal for cheap and meet a couple of local girls too.
1. Phuket Sunday Street Market
On Walking Street, there is the Phuket Night Market that is popularly known as ‘Lard Yai’. It used to be frequented by locals initially but has now gained popularity with tourists and punters too. Sunday Street is located in the middle of Old Town on Thalang Road and is filled with everything you will ever need. It is open on Sunday between 5 PM and 9 PM.
2. Chilva Night Market
This is probably the newest night market in Phuket I have ever seen. It’s frequented by a lot of local young Thai women and men and is the perfect place to just kick back and have a good time. Teens love to hang out here as it has a lot of dining and pub options. Chilva is open from Thursday to Saturday from 5 PM to 11 PM. It is closed on Sundays.
3. Phuket Weekend Night Market
Popularly known as Naka Market, this nightlife hub is your source for great food and drink. You’ll find a lot of locals here including university girls. It’s cheap and full of entertainment. It’s open only on the weekends, ie, Saturday and Sunday between 4 PM to 9 PM. Look up Talad Tairod on Google maps if you can’t find it.
4. Malin Plaza
This is a fairly new and unknown night market that is located at the end of Patong Beach on the southern side. It is known for its great food. Unlike other night markets, the USP of Malin Plaza is its food. People often don’t eat food at shopping malls and come here because it’s that good. Malin is open every day between 2 PM and 12 AM. Walk southwards on Patong Beach to find it.
5. Fun Friday Avenue Market
As the name suggests, this is a place where you come to unwind and have a good time. It is located at Boat Avenue which you will find when you’re making your way to Phuket Laguna. It’s not the largest market around but it makes up with its ambiance and crowds. It’s open only on Fridays between 5 PM to 10 PM. So, find your way here before they close up.
