Bangkok or Pattaya in April

Hi,

I am planning to visit Thailand in mid April and confused between Bangkok and Pattaya.

In my previous trips I have only been to Bangkok. That is why I am more inclined towards Pattaya this time. But from some news sources I heard that nightlife is dead at the moment due to walking street closed cause if COVID.

Can anyone please advise me?
